MAP - Alternate Education Pathways

WHAT IS MAP?
Delivered by IMVC, MAP is a 10-week program designed for young adults exploring alternate education pathways.
MAP is delivered in a flexible and support environment.

Students will:

  • Set goals for the future
  • Identify education and employment pathways
  • Prepare for further education, training or employment by developing their employability skills and knowledge of education pathways

WHAT’S INCLUDED?
In MAP students will participating in engaging and interactive activities designed to help them set goals for education and employment. The MAP program helps students develop core literacy and numeracy skills at the same time as developing a career pathway.

In MAP students will:
• Participate in group based projects
• Get outside the classroom to explore different industries
• Hear from guest speakers from industry, training and the community
• Work with our team of trainers, youth workers and interns to develop a career plan that suits their goals
• Complete Barista training and RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)


WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
To be eligible to enrol in MAP, you must meet the following criteria:
• 17- 19 years of age
• Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Not currently enrolled in school
