Safe Futures Foundation (SFF) is a not for profit Specialist Family Violence Organisation that provides frontline services to women and children to help them escape control, abuse and violence and rebuild their lives. We have been responding to family violence and changing people’s stories for over 40 years. We employ intensive case managers, women’s and children’s advocates and a children’s group worker across 2 main sites in Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs. We are funded by the Department of Health and Human Services.

Our clients may be referred to us by Safe Steps, Victoria Police, Centrelink, community services and self referrals.
Safe Futures is seeking a qualified full time Children’s worker to augment our existing Community Connect program. Working as part of a dynamic team the Children’s worker will have the primary responsibility to complete risk and needs assessments, holistic child focussed plans and co-ordinate services for children with complex needs. The role requires an understanding of child development, identification of early intervention needs and trauma informed practice.
The ongoing position has been established in response to the recommendations of the Royal Commission into family violence.
The full time children’s worker will be available Monday to Friday during normal business hours with the capacity to participate in the on-call recall roster and respond after hours when required.
Safe Futures Foundation offers generous salary packaging and superannuation in addition to the remuneration.
