The purpose of the Program Leader, Homelessness (Box Hill) is to lead, develop and manage client centred service delivery, operations and people of a group of Homelessness programs.

THIS ROLE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR A NUMBER OF HOMELESSNESS PROGRAMS AND THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • To deliver client-centred responses that address the needs of clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness with multiple and complex needs
  • To maintain high functioning programs and ensure service delivery targets and organisational standards are achieved and funding body requirements are met
  • The management and supervision of a leadership team and site management of the Box Hill office
  • To engage and represent The Salvation Army (TSA) in key networks and regional stakeholder relationships
  • To work collaboratively across the broader TSA services in order to provide an integrated support response to clients

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Relevant extensive experience in a social service environment, particularly in the homelessness sector
  • Experience in leading and supervising staff
  • Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field OR demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service and study/development
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Satisfactory National Police Check conducted by TSA
