Childrens Week 2022

Children's Week is a national celebration that recognises the talents, skills, achievements and rights of children.

Each year, thousands of Victorian children take part in Children's Week festivities.

The 2022 theme is "All Children have the right to a standard of living that supports their wellbeing and healthy development", drawn from Article 27 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

During Children's Week, local councils, not-for-profit organisations, schools and early childhood services organise open days, displays, special events, virtual spaces and online-based activities. These celebrate childhood and showcase children's achievements.

All Children's Week events are free to families with children aged from birth to 12 years. It's a great opportunity for Victorian families to enjoy fun, engaging and educational experiences.

There are plenty of promotional materials and a calendar of free activities listed on the Childrens Week Website. Find out what free activities are happening in your local area.

See attached pdf for whats happening in Yarra Ranges Council during Homelessness week, including Games on the Green at Seville water park and heaps of activities all week.

Come along and enjoy games, music and activities at the Children’s Week launch event at Seville Water Park and Playground on Saturday 23rd October from 4:30pm-7pm. Bring along the whole family and your dinner.
