Using the My Health Record system - For Community Health Organisations

Eastern Melbourne PHN (EMPHN) invites you to an interactive event for community health organisations, focusing on the expansion of the national My Health Record system.

This workshop will:

  • List the features and benefits of the My Health Record system for community health organisations
  • Explain the privacy and security measures taken to protect the My Health Record system
  • Communicate the benefits of the My Health Record system for consumers
  • Describe how comprehensive health information (accessed via the My Health Record) can contribute to patient care.


About the My Health Record expansion program
The Australian Government has legislated that a My Health Record will be created for all Medicare and Department of Veterans’ Affairs card holders in Australia by the end of 2018, unless they choose not to have one.There will be a three month opt-out period commencing 16 July 2018, when consumers can inform the Government of their choice to opt out of the My Health record system.
