Zoe Belle Collective (Starlady) presents Transgender and Gender Diverse Training.

This training will provide an introduction to transgender and gender diverse inclusive practice. This training does not require previous experience or knowledge in transgender and gender diverse inclusive practice. Topics will include:

  • What is gender and sexuality diversity?
  • Inclusive language
  • Experiences of transphobia
  • The impact of transphobia on health and well-being
  • Service access considerations for transgender and gender young people
  • What is gender affirmation?
  • Cultural diversity within transgender and gender diverse communities
  • Healthcare pathways
  • Discrimination and the law
  • How to make your organisation more inclusive for transgender and gender diverse young people

About the presenter
The Zoe Belle Gender Collective Auspiced by cohealth, the Zoe Belle Gender Collective (ZBGC) Youth Project aims to support young trans and gender diverse Victorians by: providing free consultation and advice on trans and gender diverse youth inclusive practice working with partner agencies to develop resources and training for health and community service workers working in and with trans and gender diverse communities supporting the activities of trans and gender diverse youth groups and organisations working with support groups for the parents and families of trans and gender diverse young people.
